For its 11th edition, tha Africa Econo,y Builders Forum places at the heart of the debates major concerns for the transformation of Africa. As part of the 17 Development Goals (SDGs), the eradication of poverty for prosperous and sustainable development around the world, of which the African continent is one of the priorities of the UNDP 2030 Agenda. On the African continent, 40% of the population lives in extreme poverty. As AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina says, "Africa can no longer be content with just managing poverty. For our future and that of our children, we must eradicate it. "
The same is true for the African Union, whose Agenda 2063 is one of the goals of overcoming poverty to catalyze sustainable and inclusive development. Green growth and artificial intelligence, two areas that are transforming the 21st century, hold enormous opportunities for boosting development.

Theresa Oppong-Beeko, Founder & CEO of Manet Group, received the Most Outstanding Business Woman of the Year Award. Alain Kouadio, President of Kaydan Groupe, topped the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Bea Hackula, President of African Women Empowerment, was honored with the Inspiring Woman Leadership Award. The Awards Ceremony was preceded, in the morning, by a forum on the theme: ''Undertaking for Economic Integration ''. The ivorian Sanitation Minister, Anne Désirée Ouloto and leading speakers shared their experiences and their vision for an efficient economic integration process.
Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun, a Guest of Honor, Chairperson of United Africa Group, a conglomerate of 42 companies, expressed her satisfaction and support for the event. The next edition of the Africa Economy Builders Awards will take place on April 30th, 2020. Initiated in 2006 by Michel Russel Lohoré, an Ivorian journalist, the Africa Economy Builders Awards is organized by Colombe Marketing & Communication, with the support of African Guarantee Fund, TV5Monde and African Business Roundtable.
